It All Began Here: A Note from Our President

From coloring on the computer punch cards my father brought home from work when I was a child, to leading a Microsoft-recognized consulting firm, my path into tech has been anything but traditional. I graduated with degrees in Art History and German, aiming for a career in museum curation — until the dot-com boom of 1999 sparked a pivot. I taught myself HTML, landed my first job through persistence (and a bit of luck), and quickly found myself consulting for major companies across the country. After more than a decade of working through agencies — including a stint with Microsoft — I launched Savvy Technical Solutions in 2012, with the goal of positively impacting more organizations by bringing on talented team members.

Today, Savvy helps organizations of all sizes leverage Microsoft tools to work smarter, communicate better, and feel more confident with technology. The name “Savvy” reflects our philosophy: solving problems — not just with knowledge, but with insight, creativity, and a deep understanding of what makes each organization tick. Whether it’s building a custom intranet or offering just-in-time support, our mission remains clear — make technology approachable, practical, and empowering.

  2. Beginning of the End for SharePoint Classic Sites (effective September 15, 2025)Microsoft is implementing two major changes in SharePoint Online: Custom Scripting Disabled by Default Sites created with classic publishing templates will have custom scripting disabled automatically. This means users will no longer be able to use script editor web parts, create custom master pages or page layouts. Classic Publishing Site Creation Restricted SharePoint admins will no longer be able to create new site collections using classic publishing templates, and activate publishing features in existing site collections.
